Roy Komack is the founder and President of Family Financial Architects, Inc. He is a graduate of MIT, from which he holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA), with honors, from Boston University. Before entering the personal financial services industry, Roy served for over seventeen years in Engineering and Marketing Management posts with Bose Corporation, the consumer electronics firm. In 1990, Roy was awarded the designation of Certified Financial Planner®*. He is a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor, a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and a Life Member of the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII).
The foundations of Roy’s investing philosophy include an emphasis on equities, global diversification, low cost, tax-efficiency, and a long-term view of the investment process. He prides himself on the personalized service and attention to detail he provides to his clients. Roy is pleased to count among his clients four of his former supervisors from his careers in engineering and marketing management.
Roy lives in Natick, Massachusetts with his wife, Lauren. He serves as Investment Advisor and Board Member of The Center for Arts in Natick (TCAN), Investment Advisor for the Metropolitan Wind Symphony (Boston), and served for several years as a Trustee and Investment Advisor of the First Parish in Framingham. Roy is an enthusiastic clarinetist, both because he enjoys this very non-financial activity, and because he and Lauren met sitting next to each other playing the clarinet. He has been deriving great pleasure from frequent visits with his son, Andy, and his granddaughters, Samantha and Jessie, who live only a few miles away.
