Family Financial Architects, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Roy Komack under its original name, Komack Management Services. Roy knew that he could help many people to get a grip on their finances as he had done for himself. The firm’s first clients were all people who knew Roy in some other context—his friends, relatives, former working colleagues, and those of his wife, Lauren. What they all had in common was the knowledge that Roy strives for excellence in everything he does and that he would always have their best interests at heart. In May 2002, realizing that the firm had grown far beyond his initial expectations, Roy changed its name to reflect the nature and scope of the firm that his idea had become.
