Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. charges clients transaction fees according to the following schedule,
incorporating significant discounts negotiated by Family Financial Architects, Inc. on behalf of our clients:
OPEN-END MUTUAL FUNDS, EXCEPT SCHWAB ONE-SOURCE* FUNDS:
- $25.00 on any transaction up to $4,464.29
- 0.56% on amounts above $4,464.29, up to a maximum total transaction fee of $40
- Capped at a maximum transaction fee of $40 for all transactions above $7,142.86
- A flat $25 when a mutual fund is purchased directly with the proceeds from the sale of another fund
FUND FAMILIES PARTICIPATING IN SCHWAB’S ONE-SOURCE*
PROGRAM: $0
* These mutual fund families pay Schwab an annual fee of up to 0.4% of assets invested in them. This fee implicitly reduces the value of the client’s investment by that same amount.
EXCHANGE-TRADED MUTUAL FUNDS AND INDIVIDUAL EQUITIES:
- HOUSEHOLDS WITH UNDER $50,000 CUSTODIED AT SCHWAB:
- $19.95 on the first 1,000 shares
- $.015/share for amounts over 1,000 shares
- HOUSEHOLDS WITH BETWEEN $50,000 AND $1,000,000 CUSTODIED AT SCHWAB
WHO AGREE TO ACCEPT ELECTRONIC DELIVERY OF STATEMENTS AND NOTICES:
- $12.95 on the first 1,000 shares
- $.015/share for amounts over 1,000 shares
- HOUSEHOLDS WITH OVER $1,000,000 CUSTODIED AT SCHWAB:
- $8.95 on any number of shares
CORPORATE BONDS:
- $2.00 per $1000 face amount bond, subject to a $20 minimum
TREASURY BILLS, NOTES, AND BONDS:
During calendar 2006, the total of these fees was 0.10% of the average balance in our clients’ accounts.
During calendar 2007, the total of these fees was 0.12% of the average balance in our clients’ accounts.
During calendar 2008, these fees are expected to decline as a percentage of our clients’ assets.
